Bergdorf Goodman
A retail establishment founded by Herman Bergdorf at a site in downtown Manhattan, New York. Edwin Goodman purchased the store in 1906 and moved it to where Rockefeller Center now stands. In 1928, it moved to its present location on 57th Street and today is owned by Neiman Marcus. Known for its high-end womenswear and menswear, it was also the first retailer to adapt Newgistics' SmartLabel for ease of return both in the store and online. "Bergdorf's," as it is affectionately referred to by customers and the trade alike, identified its changing customer needs and successfully adapted while still retaining its old-world elegance.
