Cinémathèque française
This important film archive, located in Paris, was cofounded by Henri Langlois, Georges Franju, and Jean Mitry in the 1930s. The Cinémathèque Française preserved and screened historic French silent films, in addition to more contemporary and international works. It is France's — and one of the world's — most important cinema archives.
