The term unilateral hallucination is indebted to the Latin words unus (one) and latus (side). It is used to denote a type of hallucination experienced on one side of the body. The term applies to * auditory, * visual, and * tactile hallucinations, but in the literature it is mostly used as a synonym for *unilateral auditory hallucination.
