Al-Mukammas, David ben Merwan (David ibn Merwan al-Mukammas)
(fl. c.900)
   Iraqi philosopher. He translated Christian commentaries on Genesis and Ecclesiastes and wrote on different religions and sects. His Twenty Treatises contains most of his theological and philosophical work. He was the first to introduce the methods of Arabic philosophy into the Jewish world.
