Ochs, Adolf
(1858-1935)
   American publisher. Born in Cincinnati, his family moved to Knoxville, Tennessee. He began working on the Knoxville Chronicle, and later at the Knoxville Tribune and then at the Louisville Courier-Journal. Later he became editor of the Chattanooga Dispatch, and subsequently the Chattanooga Times. In 1896 he purchased the New York Times.
