(1879-1935)
Russian artist. He was born in Yelizavetgradka in the Ukraine. He helped to establish an art section of the Jewish Cultural League in Kiev. From 1921 to 1925 he lived in Berlin, where he illustrated children's books in Yiddish, and published The Shtetl and the Jewish Types of the Ukraine. Later he produced On the Fields of the Ukraine. In 1926 he moved to Paris.
