German rabbi. He became a rabbi in Breslau. In 1838 he opposed the appointment of the Reformer Abraham Geiger as assistant rabbi, preacher and dayyan in Breslau. He and his son, Gedaliah Tiktin, engaged in a campaign against Geiger, which divided the community.
