Churgin, Pinkhos M.
(1894-1957)
   Scholar of Belorussian origin. He emigrated to Palestine in 1907 and later settled in the US. He was professor of Jewish history and literature at Yeshiva University and dean of its teachers' institute. In 1955 he emigrated to Israel and published studies of the Targumim and the history of the Second Temple period.
