tick-borne relapsing fever
a type of relapsing fever that is caused by various species of Borrelia, spread to humans from animal reservoirs through tick vectors that are usually species of Ornithodoros. It is endemic in many parts of the world where the ticks and their hosts are found. Called also endemic relapsing f.
