bi·u·ret (biґu-rət) [bis- + urea] a derivative of urea, equivalent to two molecules of urea less one of ammonia (NH2CONHCONH2); it forms a colored chelate with copper sulfate in alkaline solution. See also under reaction. Called also allophanamide.
