miliaria profunda
the deepest type of miliaria, with occlusion of the ducts at the dermoepidermal junction. It occurs following severe, recurrent miliaria rubra and is seen primarily in hot, humid climates. Because large numbers of sweat glands are inactivated, it can lead to heat intolerance or heat stress, as in tropical anhidrotic asthenia.
