distoclusion
A malocclusion in which the mandibular arch articulates with the maxillary arch in a position distal to normal; in Angle classification, a Class II malocclusion. SYN: distal occlusion (2).

dis·to·clu·sion (dis″to-klooґzhən) [distal + L. cludere to close] malocclusion in which the mandibular arch is in a posterior (distal) position in relation to the maxillary arch. Generally considered identical with Class II in Angle classification of malocclusion (see malocclusion). Called also disto-occlusion, posterior occlusion, posteroclusion, and retrusive occlusion.
