la·mo·tri·gine (lə-moґtrĭ-jēn) an anticonvulsant used in the treatment of partial seizures in adult patients formerly treated with an enzyme-inducing anticonvulsant (e.g., carbamazepine) and as an adjunct in the treatment of partial seizures in adults with epilepsy and of generalized seizures associated with Lennox-Gastaut syndrome; it is also used as a mood stabilizer in the treatment of bipolar I disorder. Administered orally.
