A philosophical work in two volumes by the Dane Søren Kierkegaard, who published Enten-Eller (1843; tr. Either/ Or, 1944) under the pseudonym Victor Eremita. Enten-Eller presents Kierkegaard's theory of the aesthetic and the ethical spheres of existence and adumbrates what Kierkegaard calls the religious stage.
