Ichi-no-miya
   'Principal shrine' (followed by ni-no-miya and san-no-miya for second and third rank shrines). Late Heian period terms used by local governors in the Kyoto-Osaka area to identify the currently most distinguished or representative shrines of a particular region in order of their current rank, for shrine visit purposes.
