The Confederation of Kurdish Associations in Europe is the main Kurdish umbrella organization in Europe. It is headquartered in Brussels at Rue Jean Stas 41. Association members include YEK-KOM in Germany, FEY-KOM in Austria, FEK-BEL in Belgium, FEY-KURD in Denmark, FEYKA-KURDISTAN in France, FED-KOM in the Netherlands, FED-BIR in Great Britain, Kurdiska Radet I Sverige in Sweden, and FEKAR-KURDISTAN in Switzerland. KON-KURD also works closely with many other Kurdish organizations, including the Kurdistan National Congress, Mesopotamia Culture Center (MKM in Istanbul), Kurdish Institute in Istanbul, Institut Kurde de Paris, Kurdish Institute in Brussels, Kurdish Human Rights Project (KHRP) in Great Britain, and Washington Kurdish Institute (WKI). FED-KA in Australia and Federation des Associations Kurdes en Canada also work closely.
In addition, KON-KURD is associated with the following journals, newspapers, and news outlets: Firat News Agency in the Netherlands; ROJ-Group and Denge Mozopotamya radio in Belgium; ROJ-TV and MMC TV in Denmark; Newroz TV in Norway; Yeni Ozgur Politika daily newspaper in Frankfurt, Germany; Azadiya Welat (a weekly in Kurdish); and Yeniden Ozgurgundem (a weekly in Turkish). TV associations include the following satellite television channels: Medya TV, Mezopotamya TV, Kurdistan TV, and Kurd-Sat TV. Turkey and the United States, among others, consider KON-KURD to be little more than a front for the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK).
